Read a Credit Report

A credit report is a record of certain borrowing and payment activity. Reviewing it can help you spot unfamiliar information or errors.

A few things to remember

  • Check names, addresses, accounts, balances, and payment history.
  • A credit report and a credit score are related, but they are not the same thing.
  • You can dispute information you believe is inaccurate.
